First and foremost Thank you for planning this event Britt and Maya!!!!
I had a great time last night. I was able to meet a few new moms that I hadn't met before. The theme for the night was French wines. I have to say that I was bad and didn't bring a french wine but that was because I brought what I already had in the fridge. We shared a few bottles of wine, many laughs and DELICIOUS foods!
After a few bottles of wine we broke out Cranium (the board game). I have to say it was an interesting experience to play Cranium in between the giggles of slightly intoxicated mommas. Overall it was a ton of fun and everyone had a great time.
A few things that I learned last night:
-Angelgirl still comes out when Britt has had a little to drink.
-Monique has had the name Sho-ronnn-da since she was in college (the pronunciation of this is so much funnier in person). She is also an early bird that passes out around 9 so we kept her out way past curfew last night.
-Maya is far from the Irish girl that she sounds with the screen name mcmetni
-I really am a nerd and have nothing exciting or interesting to contribute other than coupon clipping tips (when did I become this person?)!
-Stephanie has a few liquor stores that she frequents--you know so that people don't think she's a drunk! ;)
-Marta has used her coupons that she clipped and was excited to announce that she saved $11 recently! YAY!
This event will be repeated in September at Britt's house. The theme for that night will be local wines. So, start thinking of a wine you'd like to bring. Note to self--find interesting things to talk about other than couponing! Really...when did I become so dull! :P
