Not Meeting Notes

What I learned from FM this week...

Becky sees "a little Dan" in Melinda's baby. Things that make you go hmmmm.. Oh wait... not THAT Dan!

Melinda and I are Lollipop Guild members, and thereby responsible for the Lollipop tree. Rocket science color coding required.

3 mommies + 1 candy apple red convertible = - 15 years.

"WTH? I thought that was lemonade! Gimme that pitcher!"

Rats the size of small sheep do exist!

It takes longer to drive home than to walk the 1/4 mile thru the neighborhood.

Other thoughts...

Today we enjoyed a sticky hot gathering at Baker Park where we held a book swap. True FM awesomeness was conveyed by the positioning of the very large FM banner draped across the book table. This thing is a good idea, we should carry it everywhere! I guess that means Elizabeth has to be at ALL events. In any case, I think I left with as many books as I brought with me but I did make some excellent exchanges. I scored a gorgeous photo/memory book as well as a book with ideas on making family memories. The challenge grows greater with each passing year as my children age. Its in interesting dynamic to parent toddlers and teenagers at the same time.

I just want to say also that the main facet of FM that I really appreciate is the diversity among mothering styles we represent. I have been a mother for close to 20 years but knowing these ladies has really opened my eyes and my heart to some new things. For example, I love how Melinda G never seems to get too overwhelmed with the needs of her multiple aged children. And I love how Britt is so easy going with most things but is a total mama bear when it comes to her pretty little cubs. I love how Hillary is so funny and hasn't let motherhood make her stern! I could go on and on.

Love you guys!
