Our Blood Drive was a Success!

First and foremost thank you to Melinda G. and Lori for putting this fantastic event together. Today we were able to get 35 pints of blood donated. That's roughly 105 lives saved because of this awesome event. We'd also like to thank the American Red Cross for their help in putting the event together. It's nice to have events that are smoothly ran and all we have to do is show up and man the booths, tables, etc.

We had 45 people show up today to donate which was wonderful! There were many people that brought their kids with them. We had a large space and were able to accomodate them in the kids play area where we provided juice boxes, toys that were donated by The Dancing Bear and Facepainting by Face Paint By Vicki and Friends. The kids had a blast while their moms and dads were able to help save lives!

Not only did we have some of our mommas come out but the dads were in full swing today also! Some people came as couples, some moms sent their spouses/significant others in their place (for various reasons), and some people made it a family event bring parents, friends, etc. We were lucky enough to get a few walk-ins also!

Thank you again to everyone that made todays event such a huge success: Melinda G, Lori, Elizabeth, Brandi, Vicki, Sam, Danielle, Hazel, Stephanie, Ginger, Jessica, Katalina. I'm sorry if I forgot anyone (I'm trying to run through my head who was there). And an extra special thank you to MOPS who helped co-sponsor this event and helped us secure our location.
We are already putting thought into how this will go for next year. There was talk today that next years may be earlier in the summer to help out with their less busy months.
In the meantime, enjoy some pictures of our wonderful volunteers and donators!
